Amazing tour! Steve was awesome, super friendly guy and very insightful. Sydney, its history and sights are already incredible as is, but his ability to tell the story was both enlightening and entertaining. I loved that this tour did not shy away from bearing light on the Aboriginal people, who they are, and some of their history as well — particularly the Gadigal people of the Eora nation where Sydney is situated. Beyond that, we got to try some local snacks and beer. I found the whole thing to be a really fun and engaging experience. Highly recommend!

Really special tour company honestly, the care and attention to detail is really good, communication is thorough and prompt. Went on a walking tour with a historical perspective of the city in the morning with Dan, and then a street art and food in Newton tour with Andrew in the afternoon
Both were fun and interesting. You can tell these guys genuinely care whether you have a good time. Both asked questions and tailored the experience for the people present, both were really engaging and compassionate

My friend and I joined “Local Sauce Tours – Sydney Secret Bars & Stories” with Justin as our guide. We had an absolutely amazing night exploring parts of Sydney we hadn’t been to before, discovering a great variety of bars – from cozy pubs to stylish cocktail spots and even a tequila bar – all while learning fascinating stories about the city’s history along the way. There’s no doubt this tour is one to recommend – I’d give it an 11/10!

I have done several secret bar tours and a walking tour of Newtown with this company. Top notch operation from top down. The owner is very responsive and Dan (my guide for several tours) was simply amazing! Enjoyed all the tours I had with them and will not hesitate to book one with them again when I return in a few months!

This was a great tour, In fact I went back to 2 of the restaurants this evening and my new favorite dumpling is a soup dumpling. Best of both worlds. The guide was great and gave a lot of information that I didn’t know as well as introduced some great food. I really enjoyed the tour. It’s a must if you’re not familiar with Asian cuisine. This is my 1st food tour with ALL my allergies and I was able to enjoy it! Wish I had more pictures but we weren’t too busy chowing down.

Steven did a great job introducing Sydney to us with his local knowledge. The food tastings were great, things we normally would not eat or know where to go to get such food like the meat pie and watermelon cake…loved it. Wish it was a larger sample.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the walking tour of Sydney with Jake as our guide. From start to finish, he made the experience engaging, informative, and fun. Walking tour was full of history and Daniel was quite funny. We hit many spots that were impressive with great stories behind.

Really enjoyed our tour, the 4 hours just flew by. There were only 6 people in the group which was lovely. Michael had organised an excellent route to take in areas of historic significance as well as the main tourist attractions

The Ultimate Brisbane Walking tour was a fantastic way to introduce the city. Our guide, Tom, was so knowledgeable and engaging. The tour was a great mix of history and the things that make Brisbane unique. Tom also shared a lot of recommendations of things to do and places to eat. This tour is perfect for solo travelers and couples/small groups. Pace was easy- highly recommended tour!!!

I heartily recommend taking this tour when you first get to Sydney. Daniel took us to many key historical places that had such interesting stories. We would’ve never known what these things were if we hadn’t learned about them. He also took us to key places in the city that we could put on a list of places we wanted to go back to later and spend more time. This was very helpful in planning out things we wanted to do for the rest of our trip. Daniel was very entertaining and kept everyone in the group engaged. We enjoyed the small group. Felt like just a few friends walking around town. Daniel was helpful with all sorts of recommendations and we appreciated that even later the next day, I was able to message Local Sauce in the WhatsApp link provided and ask for some information about a pizza shop we passed by on our tour and they were quick to respond with a name and a link. We also enjoyed ending the tour at the harbor with a beer. What a great way to finish up a fun afternoon!!

I had an absolute fantastic time with my tour guide, Dan! He is incredibly friendly and unbelievably knowledgeable about Australian and Sydney history. I learned so much about the early days of Sydney and Australia as well as some more current affairs. I also learned about some flora and fauna. We ended the tour at a pub on the harbour and sat with our beers for a chat. I did not want the tour to end. Thank you Dan and Local Sauce Tours. Highly recommend!!

This was an amazing tour! We saw a variety of art covering political, cultural and social themes. The small bars were full of locals and not tourists, and our guide Justin was full of information and very easy to talk to. The bars were a great way to take breaks during the tour. We were also very impressed that even though my husband and I were the only two who signed up, the tour was not cancelled. We highly recommend this tour.

Steve was an excellent guide for Sydney’s Hidden Bar tour. We went to 4 very unique bars (none of which we would have found on our own). Cocktails were very well made. Fun way to see Sydney – highly recommend.

The pace of the walk was perfect for an older person like myself.
I felt I had seen so much more than if I had walked on my own.

Jake is very knowledgeable. He planned a great walking route that covered all the primary sights for first time visitors. We wen through the historic district, then amthe shopping district that included stopping at the QVB and the Strand. Then we ended by walking through The Rocks and have 150 Lashes beer. Perfect ending to a perfect tour.

Steve was great and showed us not only great new spots but also the historical context and artistic backgrounds of the murals in Newtown.

The tour was great. I learned a lot about the culture. It was pleasant to walk with the tour guide Steve, who described everything we were looking at and the fascinating history behind it. It was incredibly informative and not boring at all. Directions and instructions on where to meet was very clear.

Justin was an excellent tour guide. Full of interesting and inciteful knowledge about Chinatown and its colourful past. The walking tour of the area was very enjoyable. We were excited and really looking forward to experiencing the very best of Chinese street food. However, the choice of food that we were offered did not fulfil our expectations.

Our guide Nicole shared a bunch of background stories with a great sense of humor. I don’t usually do guided city tours, but I really liked this one. It was a great walk 😊
