Had a wonderful Ultimate Sydney Walking Tour with Jake of Local Sauce Tours. We learned a lot about Sydney’s history, explored many of the key sites, dipped into cool shopping venues and trendy alleys and saw some great “hidden” public art. This was our second day in Sydney and we had explored some of the city on our own but he showed us many interesting things even in places that we thought we had explored.
It helps to see a city through a local’s eyes!

We have just completed the Chinatown Walking and Food Tour. Justin was informative and engaging – his knowledge of the Chinese connection to Sydney and how they established themselves in the country and have developed a wonderful food culture was very much evident in his passion for this subject and the culture. He took us to four great restaurants with different Chinese cuisines – which we will definitely visit again – and would not have visited on our own. The weather was shocking but this didnt deter from the tour at all – he managed to keep us out of the rain for most of the tour and the two & half hours flew past. Cannot recommend more highly. Thanks Justin.

Geographically Chinatown issn’t very big, yet somehow 2.5 hours had elapsed in between saying hello and goodbye to our extremely informative guide. The time truly flew and the information was provided in a most entertaining way. We stopped at 4 of the small family run restaurants where the dishes were all so different and represented different regions of China. Exceptional value for money

Loved our tour with Jake of Local Sauce Tours. An excellent combination of history, local parks,
Gardens and landmarks , trendy shopping venues, hidden alleyways and cool local street art. Also got some tips on where to go for good beer, kangaroo sausages (yum!) and delicious coffee.

Justin was a great guide, and took us to some amazing venues. A mixed age group was really good as well. The history thrown in always makes it more interesting too .

Great tour with Steve who was incredibly knowledgeable and personable and delivered a really well structured talk about the history of Sydney, the Rocks and Australia itself. Well paced and great value for money.

I really enjoyed the tour around Newtown. It is a really cool area in Sydney with lots of great and unique restaurants and stores. The foods we got to sample were absolutely delicious and I particularly liked the vegan taco and the Turkish ice cream! The street or it was very interesting. I Robin did a great job hosting the tour.

Solid walking tour if you want an in depth historical overview of Sydney + see the main sites. As a history buff I enjoyed all the info — others might not. Dan was very very knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about his hometown! The tour gave me a preview of the cities main locals with some good photo ops.

Not just a tour. It’s THE tour to do when you really want to know all about the city.

Our guide Michael takes you to places you never would visit on a regular tour. And he tells you a story about the Indigious history, the history of the founding of Sydney and Australia and about the migration of immigrants that makes the population which Australia has today.

Tour ends in the Rocks with good view on The Opera House and de Harbour Bridge on a terrace with a glass of beer, which is included in the fee.

Highly recommended!

Justin was a fantastic host, and looked after the group all night, he not only took us too small bars which were local spots, but took us on a small history tour in between.
His recommendations for a nightcap were perfect.
He also made it easy for all 11 of us to mingle and chat disabling that barrier right away when we all met up for the first stop

A really brilliant tour. We were most impressed with our guide Steve – very entertaining and knowledgeable. We are frequent visitors to Sydney but learnt so much about the city’s history we had previously not known. We also had to reschedule our tour as one of our party of 3 was unwell. Manager Justin went above and beyond to help us out and book us on the following day. We highly recommend this tour.

This was a really good tour. We learned a lot – and tasted interesting new food, which we would have never tried otherwise. We even returned to places already. I really recommend this tour and will do other tours with them.
