- Dennis Reda12/04/2026Really nice tour. Overall great introduction to the Newtown neighborhood. The quality of the street Art is, at times, amazing. There are endless food choices, and the vibe of the whole community is a gritty rebellious fun. Highly recommend, and if you can get Melinda, that’s a bonus. Shes absolutely the best.read moreread less
- Roz A12/04/2026Spent a great afternoon wandering around Newtown looking at the wall murals and sampling different foods and drinks.
Our guide, Andrew, was very friendly and informative.
The tour was value for money in an unique part of Sydney that i have previosly spent very little time in.
Highly recommended.read moreread less - Robert10/04/2026Roger our guide was awesome! So passionate about the history and food scene. We tasted some delicious street food. Glad to support the local family owned restaurants. Thoughtful history of the Chinese community and what they endured over the years. Highly recommended!read moreread lessNarelle10/04/2026We highly recommend the tour. Tom our guide was friendly and had a wealth of knowledge on the city and the fabulous artworks we encountered as we leisurely walked streets and laneways. So many art pieces to view, many we could have walked past if they weren’t pointed out to us. We also stopped in at hidden bars, all with their own unique vibe. Daniel08/04/2026A very worthwhile tour of the old core of the city, including its aboriginal roots and the early days of British settlement. Matt, our guide, was very kind and knowledgeable. This was our second day here and, while we were on the same streets as yesterday, we saw things we either had not noticed, or better, understood what we were looking at. His knowledge was perfectly matched to his skill at communicating.
I can’t highly recommend this as a perfect introduction to Sydney.read moreread less - Madison S05/04/2026I really enjoyed this tour! Jake was a great tour guide and kept the energy and fun facts flowing throughout the streets of Sydney. He also gave us Tim Tams and beer! Highly recommend booking if you want to learn the history of Sydney in a smaller, intimate group.read moreread less
- Rebeka A Garbutt04/04/2026The tour was great, Matt was brilliant. Went at a good pace for a range of different speeds. Even though it was 3.5hrs it flew by. Matt was very insightful. It gave a good opportunity to meet fellow travellers. We would recommend to anybody visiting Sydney.read moreread less
Unity04/04/2026I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I ended up having a fantastic time. Steve was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly—and his sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and I’ll definitely be recommending this tour to my friends in Melbourne.read moreread less

Ranjana M20/03/2026Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of Sydney’s immigration history. We enjoyed learning about Aboriginal culture and history too. The tour was over three hours and was too long for my kids. But we enjoyed all the sites visited that were off the beaten path including the Royal Botanic Gardens where our tour guide pointed out the Rainbow Larkin.read moreread less- Inspire77832715/03/2026This was a really nice introduction to Sydney. Our tour guide, Steve, set a nice pace, walking us around a lot of of the city. He was very knowledgeable about all sorts of history and current events happening. There were so many little things he pointed out as we walked that most people in Sydney do not really see. There is much more of a rich history in Sydney that I now know I was not aware of, and there was so much more to learn! I really recommend this tourread moreread less
RegalTourist26/02/2026Even though we were born and bred in Sydney, this tour introduced us to places that we would never have found without Justin. He was a great guide. Now that we know about these places, we will definitely return. The breakfast roll was something we hadn’t experienced before and the dumplings were amazing. All the food and restaurants were great and Justin’s commentary was the icing on the cake, so to speak! This is a great tour for a view of Sydney’s Chinatown from the inside, with lovely food, a great guide to explain everything to you, and a good dose of local history that is not often told. We had a lot of fun.read moreread less
Mark V23/02/2026Probably the best food and walking tour I have been on! Steve was knowledgeable, personable, funny and really responsive to the groups’ needs. We saw sights that others might have missed, and learned about the history and backstories of the areas we saw.The tastings were unique, ranging from flat white, to vegemite, to meat pies, to (probably the world’s best) strawberry and watermelon cake, and ended with a hyper-locally sourced charcuterie board at the Opera House overlooking Sydney Harbour. The maximum size of 6 meant we could always see and hear Steve, and ask questions. Instructions for meeting were crystal clear and came with links to Google maps and a pic with arrows.Local Sauce has set the bar pretty high for any future food tours we go on.read moreread less

Merri27/03/2026Kieran was a fantastic guide who took us to some interesting bars on a crazy walk around Sydney at night. The tour was wonderful but even better was the mix of guests and how fun it was chatting to them all. Kieran got us all chatting to each other and even though I was there with two friends I spent most of the night chatting to all the other guests. Loved this so much.read moreread less
Geoff27/03/2026This was such a great group activity to do – wow I never knew Sydney had such truly interesting bars. Kerrin our guide was fantastic – lots of fun, knowledgeable l, very engaging. Our group was a great mix of people from different counties and age groups from early 20’s to late 60’s, which made for a really fun time – especially the trivia (of of the group had not been born to know the answers to some of the questions 🤣) Definitely would do this again. Favourite bar was Tios in Surry Hills – the free popcorn is very addictive! Oh handy hint – wear good walking shoes. This tour is all on foot.read moreread less

- Bridgette28/03/2026what a fantastic experience! Matt, our guide, was great. Knowledgeable, personable, and a real expert. We saw so much and learned about Sydney’s past and present. The tour company was also exceptional. They sent us even more information after the tour so we could check out more, including dining and bars. - GetYourGuide traveler18/03/2026Tom was our guide this morning. Instructions to locate him were on impeccable. Very easy to find. Introduced all the other participants, very relaxed, easy-going atmosphere. All the time in the world to ask questions. Very knowledgeable and informative. Toilet break midway through. Lovely treat towards the end and finished the tour with a refreshing drink overlooking the river. Justin, owner of the company, was very proactive in providing all the info beforehand, but I thought the aftercare was phenomenal as well. Justin send a list of the places we visited and added several recommendations. I tried a few the next day. Loved it! Soo helpful can’t recommend them enough and I will be back later this year, I understand they are developing cycle tours as well. Very interested in this. Thank you!read moreread less
