My husband and I booked a private Ultimate Sydney Walking Tour with Local Sauce Tours, led by Justin, and it was fantastic! Justin is an exceptional guide and storyteller, mixing history, culture, and local knowledge into an enjoyable experience. The tour was well-paced, intimate, and filled with insights we’d never find in a guidebook. He also gave us plenty of recommendations for food, shopping, and local gems to explore afterward. We ended the tour at Rocks Brewing Co, where Justin treated us to a round of drinks while we enjoyed views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. If you’re looking for a tour that goes beyond the usual tourist spots and offers a deeper dive into Sydney’s history and culture, this one is a must!

Highlight of our Sydney trip was the Chinatown tour with Justin. We love trying all the food in fact so much so that we went back the next day and revisited one of the places again. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Daniel is the most well-travelled, down to earth tour guide with mixologist back ground so perfect for a bar hopping, Although i had a severe FOMO every cocktails he ordered >.< what a great story teller he is ! will defiantly com back!

As a Sydneysider I learnt a lot about our colonial past and First Nations people. It was wonderful to look at the city through different eyes and listen to fascinating stories of our early colony history.

Justin was so chill and the food was great. I was impressed at how Justin handled such a large group as well.

It was informational. The tour guide Daniel was friendly, very knowledgeable, patient in explaining the details, and was able to answer any questions. He ensured the tourists were safe while walking from one destination to another.

This was our very first day in Brisbane. My mother and I wanted to explore the city on foot and were fortunate enough to find a last-minute booking.
Instruction and expectations were clear and our guide, Justin, communicated well immediately after we made our booking a mere hour before the tour was scheduled to begin.
I felt that a great deal of consideration and care went into our experience. Justin grew up in the area and was both adept and humble about the history of the area and did not attempt to share Aboriginal/Indigenous/First Nations stories wherein they were not his to share. Much respect and reverence was expressed which is not as common in the U.S.A. when it comes to Indigenous/Enslaved Peoples’ histories.
A local beer as well as a refreshing non-alcoholic drink option were available at the end of this fascinating walk
I would recommend this to all interested in a deeper dive into uncommon history as well as more nuanced introductions to the history of Brisbane.

Justin was very knowledgeable about the history of Brisbane and relayed his knowledge with interesting and fun stories. It was a very good tour and would highly recommend to others. A good way to start off a stay in Brisbane and learning about its history.

This tour was a real highlight of our stay in Sydney! Steve is an excellent guide – very knowledgeable, entertaining and well organised. Would recommend to anyone looking for a walk and interested in some history at the same time 🙂

Fun time. Kieran was great (I know so much more about cricket now! 😄). It’s a fun way to meet new people and get to see parts of the city you might otherwise miss. The bars were all unique and interesting. My husband and daughters and I all enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommend, especially for the earlier part of your trip. Good intro to Sydney. I booked this short tour for my brother & I. We both really enjoyed the day.
Our guide Steve was very knowledgeable and kept a well proportioned pace of walking and pit stop breaks, peppered with the right amount of unique & interesting information on the locations we visited and good humour 😁
We also had a nice group of people that attended the tour with us

I had a pub crawl walk and history tour walk in Sydney with Daniel (both times) and was blown away by his knowledge. You can tell how passionate he is about the history of Sydney, and it shows in his enthusiasm. He was equipped for every question we asked him which was really impressive. I couldn’t recommend him enough, not just for his extensive knowledge in the local area, but also because he is such a down to earth and easy to chat with guy that he makes the walks feels much shorter than they are. Great fun! Tour guide Steve was good to banter with and even as a local still got to check out bars I hadn’t been to and learn some history. Would highly recommend if you enjoy bar hopping!

Excellent! Perfect plan and layout. Great story telling, basic history of the country, states and city which was engaging and one could understand how was Australia found and it’s development and present relationship to world and within.
Saw beautiful landmarks and walked at mild pace , a 4km walk, and great company. Dan is a fun person with his personal anecdotes the overall tour was excellent!

Daniel was our guide of 13 people and he made everyone feel at home. He was funny, friendly and very engaging. clearly very passionate in what he does and his cookies were so delicious. highly recommended- you get to learn so much and have a fun time. thank you 🙂
