Fantastic tour with a great guide. Loved it.

Had a wonderful tour with Steve. I learned a lot about the history of Sydney, and got to visit some places that I would otherwise have not seen. I really enjoyed the jaunt into the botanical gardens – especially the well timed kookaburra, and the corpse flower stories (I now have a mission to see one bloom with a nose plug handy). The pace was great, the beer at the end was nice – and we got a great recommendation for some tasty vegan tacos in Newtown after the tour. Plus extra bonus points for some top notch and also rubbish dad jokes. I also really appreciated the booking experience. Justin was very quick to respond to questions, and even helped us to successfully move our booking last minute due to a calender error! Thanks Stevie, Gerard, Jean, and Amy

Justin is the bar to measure all guides by! We are overdue on writing this review. Upon arriving in Sydney over 2 weeks ago, we started our trip with this tour by Justin. His personality and storytelling had us enthralled. Every person in our group was so impressed by him. If only we had teachers like him in school, perhaps we’d actually remember what we were taught! We expected that every guide in Australia would be of this caliber, but sadly, he ruined it for us. Not one has come close to Justin’s delivery and in depth subject knowledge. There have been so many tours in the last two weeks, where we’ve looked atone another, shaken our heads and said, “he’s no comparison to Justin”!Book this tour with Local Sauce ( and Justin). Fabulous guided tour with Local Sauce Michael, the tour host was amazing. An excellent tour. Fascinating history, superb locations. Thoroughly recommend.

Stop with the jokes Steve Steve was great at explaining the city, but his jokes were terrible, and I begged him to stop halfway through. The walk is quite long, over three hours, but I think it’s a good way to see the city. You can grab a coffee halfway through and finish with a beer. You come away with a firm grasp of the rich heritage of Sydney.

This is a must do experience. It was easily one of my favorite tours not just in Sydney, but that I’ve done anywhere. Dan, the host, was incredibly social and did a great job of creating a fun and comfortable environment. Every bar we went to was cool and didn’t feel touristy which was amazing. I can’t recommend this enough.

What a great day spent with Daniel. He is super friendly and attentive. The knowledge Daniel has of his city is impressive. Little attentions. It is easy to see that Daniel loves history and his city. We finished off with a beer at the Squire Landing. I truly recommend this tour.

I really really enjoyed this tour. Justin was just delightful and so knowledgeable, very passionate about history of Chinese culture and contribution in Australia, AND his choice of restaurants to try local delights were fantastic. Look forward to doing it again the next time I’m in town!!

Wow, it was an amazing experience! Our guide, Dan, was so passionate about Newtown and street art. Highly recommended if you wanna start exploring this part of the city.

We did this on our first full day in Sydney. I would say its a good way to see some sights & learn the Earley history of Sydney.

The Sydney hidden bar tour was an unforgettable experience. I discovered amazing bars I wouldn’t have found on my own, and every beer, cocktail, and snack was outstanding. Thanks to the unique atmosphere and friendly guide, I enjoyed meeting new people and having a great time. I’d love to do it again!

It was a good walking tour, nothing wrong with the host or information or recommendations, but it was quite pricey compared to walking tours in every other major cities around the world, including europe, US, etc. I’ve done 20+ walking tours in different countries, this one was about 35-40% more expensive than typical, not including the “free” tip based tours.

Our guide Michael is amazing!! It’s a very informative tour, met great people there. I definitely recommend it.

We spent a fabulous morning learning about this great city with a fabulous knowledgeable guide. Michael was friendly approachable and fun. I would recommend this trip to anyone, my 81 year old mum came with me and managed the walking with no problems whatsoever. Thank you we really enjoyed our morning with you.

Historical tour through Sydney We had such a great tour in Sydney with our guide Steve. It was such an interesting and entertaining tour. We can definitely recommend the tour!

Bunny was the best part of our tour! She had so much energy it made a great tour even better. The food we tasted was so good – the soup dumplings were outstanding! It was a really fun day and Bunny’s knowledge of Sydney and Chinese culture was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it to everyone.

Informative, Fun, and Flexible! I had an amazing tour with Steve! He was very informative and I’m super thankful that he was happy to go on a slower pace to answer our questions and give us more information when he found out what interested us. Because of this, we went over time, and he was happy to do so. One of the best walking tours I’ve ever been on!

Great introduction to Brisbane to start our visit! Fun history and great art throughout the city! Nicole was fantastic with showing us Brisbane special touches (like the chocolates) and wonderful to inform us where bathroom are along the tour without being obvious. You can tell she loves this city! We even had a family in our group who had been living in Brisbane for >10yrs and wanted to learn more about their city! Great tour!!
