I went on the negroni tour last week . It was really enjoyable and I learned a lot about bars around the middle of the city! We were entertained by Dan and Justin and had good fun , and also tasted great traditional and alternate negronis.

We were a family group of 7 people. We all enjoyed the experience and food with Justin. Highly recommend for locals and visitors.

Did a bar hopping tour with Jake. He was very personable, welcoming, and knowledgeable about Sydney. Our group were the only ones on the tour, so we were able to tell him our preferences, including finishing the tour a little earlier. He did an amazing job catering to our specific tastes- he showed us bars and walked us around parts of Sydney that were so fun and lively and unique to the culture, areas we never would have experienced otherwise. Even though we did a history tour the day before, he gave us a lot of new interesting facts about Sydney.

We really enjoyed our walking tour of Sydney with our guide, Steve. He was an experienced guide having worked in Berlin, Germany in the past. His knowledge of Sydney and experience as a guide led to a fantastic experience for all of us on the tour. Not only did he have an excellent grasp of Sydney’s history, he encouraged us to ask questions even if they were not related to the narrative he was telling us on the tour. I would highly recommend Steve as a tour guide for anyone interested in learning more about Sydney’s colorful history.

Had the best time with tour guide Dan.. so interesting knowing facts of what used to be, all whilst having a good yarn and drink at the bars along the way. I wasn’t sure what to expect but now, I’d go again in a heart beat. Highly recommend

While planning my trip to Sydney for the marathon, I ended up with a free Saturday morning after some plans changed. I came across this tour on TripAdvisor and was immediately intrigued. The description mentioned just a few miles of walking—which turned out to be very easy and enjoyable.Our guide, Jake, was fantastic. He had a great sense of humor and kept us engaged the entire time with stories about Sydney’s history, pointing out unique sights along the way. His mix of knowledge and humor made this one of my favorite experiences in Sydney.Communication before the tour was excellent—they sent confirmations through email and WhatsApp, along with directions and even a photo of the meeting spot so we wouldn’t get lost.During the walk, Jake brought the city to life, sharing fascinating details about historical buildings, flower gardens, the significance of brick patterns on the ground, and even the famous alleyway filled with empty bird cages. Justin was amazing. He was able to swap a couple of items for my husband who doesn’t eat pork. The historical aspects of Sydney that he discussed were truly eye opening. The food he introduced to was delicious.

My adult son and I did this tour with Justin with 4 other people. The small number meant we had a great time with personalised input and suggestions. It was a perfect way to be introduced to Sydney on our first full morning. It lasted about 3 hours and despite a bit of rain now and again it was a great experience. Very informative, educational and entertaining. We even saw a kookaburra fly right past us! Great way to end at a brewery with fine views of the harbour. Justin recommended where my son could eat kangaroo and he directed us to a pub in The Rocks and it was a great choice. Take the opportunity to go with this more intimate group, much better than being part of 20-odd people.

Went on the Sydney Bars and Secrets and Nightlife Tour and was not Disappointed, Jake our guide did an Outstanding Job in Highlighting the Bars and Dives of Darlinghurst and Oxford Street. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable of Sydney’s history, culture, and current events. He was very prepared and the amount of walking and stopping was perfect.

Claudia was super friendly and welcoming from the very beginning. She guided us through some hidden local bars that I would never have found on my own. Each spot had a totally different vibes. What I really loved was how the group felt like instant friends even though we all came from different countries. The host encouraged everyone to chat share stories and try local drinks together. It felt less like a tour and more like hanging out with friends in a new city. Overall it was an unforgettable night. If you’re visiting and want to enjoy nightlife in a safe social and authentic way I highly recommend booking this local bar tour through Airbnb. It’s definitely one of those experiences that make traveling more memorable.

We met our group and explored 4 bars which we wouldn’t have found on our own! I would’ve loved to hear more crime and local legend stories but we did hear some fun historical stories.

The team at Local Sauce were amazing to deal with and the whole experience was impeccable. Unique locations, great street food, perfect itinerary and great communication – all conducive of an experience that was outright outstanding. Bunny, our tour guide, was a treasure chest of information, including the history of the area and its locals. She took us to hidden nooks in Chinatown that we would never have come across otherwise. The food was first rate and delicious and we would do the tour all over again. The pace was perfect. Definitely a great find and would recommend thoroughly to all.

We had Bunny as our host and she was fabulous. Great food tastings and a lovely gentle walk with lots of information. Also noted lots of places along the way to explore afterwards.

We were so incredibly happy to start our trip off with a tour led by Steve. He started off with jokes and fact that kept us entertained and engaged for hours. He was incredibly kind and courteous, making sure to take stops in the shade or by a bench if you wanted to rest. The information and history that he’s retained was incredible – we learned SO much more than we ever could have tried to do a self led tour. We loved our time so much we’re hoping to do the bar hopping tour tomorrow!!

As a first time visitor, I enjoyed getting to learn about the history of Sydney whilst getting to see various historic / iconic landmarks. Steve is a great guide who made the tour entertaining from storytelling to the jokes 😄 It was a great way to start my trip!

I have to say that I rarely give anything less than a 5 but I was disappointed with this tour. We basically walked up and down a long block to 3 different bars and looked at street art (which was really cool). The reason I was disappointed is because other than whien we were walking, our host didn’t have much to say. I expected to learn something about Sydney but other than the street art, that didn’t happen. That being said, he was a nice person, just didn’t seem like he was into the experience. Also, while it did include a happy hour beer or glass of generic red or white wine, given we just walked around Newtown without learning much it would have been a little better to at least get a choice of drink. Also, 2 of the 3 bars seemed randomly chosen and they didn’t have places set aside for our group of 8. Perhaps that’s just how it works but overall I was somewhat disappointed.

Thank you to Justin for be an amazing local tour guide. You could really see that he loves his city of Sydney and was excited to share that with the group. Showed off many hidden gems that as a tourist I may have never discovered.

Steve was great and showed us not only great new spots but also the historical context and artistic backgrounds of the murals in Newtown.

The tour was great. I learned a lot about the culture. It was pleasant to walk with the tour guide Steve, who described everything we were looking at and the fascinating history behind it. It was incredibly informative and not boring at all. Directions and instructions on where to meet was very clear.

Justin was an excellent tour guide. Full of interesting and inciteful knowledge about Chinatown and its colourful past. The walking tour of the area was very enjoyable. We were excited and really looking forward to experiencing the very best of Chinese street food. However, the choice of food that we were offered did not fulfil our expectations.

Our guide Nicole shared a bunch of background stories with a great sense of humor. I don’t usually do guided city tours, but I really liked this one. It was a great walk 😊

My family and I enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide Daniel was very friendly, upbeat, super knowledgeable on Sydney and Australian history, and his passion for it was tangeable. Daniel answered every question and offered excellent sightseeing suggestions. Daniel showed us interesting places that we would have missed on our own. Thank you, Daniel!

Great visit, but the description isn’t very clear. We finished the walk in the Rocks district, but we spent most of the time exploring the city’s historical sites. It’s still really interesting, and our guide was super active and engaging!

a great walk around Brisbane with Tom, seeing all the hidden street art and local bars. Many of these places i wouldn’t have found on my own, and it was so nice to see the nightlife in Brisbane City! definitely recommend to anyone travelling solo, with a group , family or couples- international or locals! And good drinks too!

You would never guess this typical looking australian – long blond hair young surfer dude in wide jeans – has a degree in colonial history, deep knowledge, respect & passion for his country that is very contagious & makes it a fantastic tour!
