Eileen24/12/2025Took this tour on second day of arrival in Sydney. Was a great orientation to the city and especially the history. Michael was a wonderful guide and well versed in so many aspects of the city. As an older person with a slight hearing impairment I really enjoyed his voice and never had to strain to hear him. Highly recommend. Lots of walking but not a killer.read moreread less- David Vuong22/12/2025My son and I had a very enjoyable tour of Chinatown with Justin. It was a small group of 5 people + Justin which was great as sometimes you will be standing around small areas. We sampled 4 entree-sized portions of street food from different regions of China which were included in the price and had the opportunity to purchase a drink from a vendor recommended by Justin. The route, venues, service and distance involved were all very well thought out and co-ordinated, Justin showed a lot of passion and knowledge regarding Chinatown and Asian culture in general and delivers some very interesting stories indeed. Highly recommend it, even if you’re a local.read moreread less
- Kay Mac21/12/2025This walking food and bar tour in Sydney felt like watching Tony Hawk land a triple ollie on a flaming skateboard… while blindfolded… during a fireworks show… and still somehow stopping to explain the history of the pavement. Every bar we stopped at was better than the last— and all had insane cocktails that made me question all my past life choices. The venues felt like secret levels you only unlock after doing the side quests, and it had just the right amount of walking to feel accomplished without needing a medal.
And then there’s Eddie. Calling him a “tour guide” feels inaccurate—he’s more like a human highlight reel crossed with a golden retriever’s enthusiasm and a wizard who multiclasses in comedy and local knowledge. If Sydney were a video game, Eddie would be the NPC everyone remembers, quotes forever, and secretly hopes shows up again in the sequel. Absolute legend. Would 100% do this tour again.read moreread less
Tyler16/12/2025I highly recommend this for solo travelers and couples looking to meet new people from their travels. Almost everyone from my group was from somewhere else and we all jelled so well. We even went out to a couple bars together after our guided tour was over. Our tour guide Steve was very knowledgeable, funny, and made the time a breeze. Highly recommended and honestly I’d do it again!read moreread lessRebeccah MacQuigg14/12/2025Steve was a great tour guide – he injected the three hour walking tour with just the right balance of Sydney history, local knowledge about the sights, humor, and shade breaks. We saw a great deal of the city, saw some beautiful spot we’re going to come back to, and ended at a pub with a perfect view of the Harbor bridge. Highly recommend!read moreread less- Christina Pirie14/12/2025A great experience. We only live an hour away but wanted to enjoy Chinatown and we learnt so much about the history of Chinese in Australia as well as trying some really yummy traditional foods we never would have discovered on our own. Tour was well paced. Not too much walking and plenty of stops along the way. I would highly recommend for locals, Aussies and our lucky international visitors. We will do the Newtown foodie and street art next!read moreread less

- Cassandra Hanley10/12/2025I took a personal tour of Chinatown with Justin and it was a fantastic experience. Justin’s knowledge of Chinatown, the restaurants and the food was really in-depth — and his relationships with the folks in the neighborhood as well. He serves on the local Chamber of Commerce and as we were walking on our tour so many folks stopped us to chat with him and tell us what an asset he was to the community. My husband and I loved so many of the places he took us too that we went back our last day of the trip to several of them and did our own mini-food tour because the food was so good!read moreread less
Peter B30/11/2025Geographically Chinatown issn’t very big, yet somehow 2.5 hours had elapsed in between saying hello and goodbye to our extremely informative guide. The time truly flew and the information was provided in a most entertaining way. We stopped at 4 of the small family run restaurants where the dishes were all so different and represented different regions of China. Exceptional value for moneyread moreread less
Cindy M30/11/2025We enjoyed our Walking Tour with Steven. He was friendly, personable and professional. He gave very detailed information about the history of Sydney in an enthusiastic and engaging manner. We covered a lot of territory in Sydney. Susan L22/11/2025Loved our tour with Jake of Local Sauce Tours. An excellent combination of history, local parks,
Gardens and landmarks , trendy shopping venues, hidden alleyways and cool local street art. Also got some tips on where to go for good beer, kangaroo sausages (yum!) and delicious coffee.read moreread less
William D20/11/2025Michael was an outstanding guide – friendly, informative, and able to accommodate all in our group. We loved the way he focused the tour around three different points of view: 1. The aboriginals, 2. The convicts, and 3. The immigrants after the convicts. He presented the history, the art, the stories – all in engaging style with context. Thank you, Michael. Well done!read moreread less
TerriJD13/11/2025I really enjoyed the tour around Newtown. It is a really cool area in Sydney with lots of great and unique restaurants and stores. The foods we got to sample were absolutely delicious and I particularly liked the vegan taco and the Turkish ice cream! The street or it was very interesting. I Robin did a great job hosting the tour.read moreread less

- Susan16/11/2025A really brilliant tour. We were most impressed with our guide Steve – very entertaining and knowledgeable. We are frequent visitors to Sydney but learnt so much about the city’s history we had previously not known. We also had to reschedule our tour as one of our party of 3 was unwell. Manager Justin went above and beyond to help us out and book us on the following day. We highly recommend this tour.read moreread less
