Couples, groups of friends, small corporate teams and anyone who wants to explore and discover Pyrmont.
What you’ll do
Pyrmont is one of Sydney’s most fascinating neighbourhoods, but also one of its most under-rated. On this walking tour, you’ll discover all the best bits of the neighbourhood, with stories of the area’s past and its more recent transformation weaved into your exploration.
Your expert guide will entertain you with stories of the early European settlers to the area, and provide some background on the Aboriginal names and cultural uses of the peninsula. As you walk the neighbourhood, you’ll see examples of surviving architecture and historical sites and hear how squatters saved houses from demolition during the “ghost town” era.
Your tour will also include a visit to one historic pub which has come full circle and is once again one of the most popular drinking holes in Pyrmont. A drink here and at one other great venue is included, as well as lots of recommendations to make your time in Sydney and Pyrmont a special one.
